CRIOX System, an internationally successful patent, is a multi-product rotary vacuum dryer able to totally extract water and other solvents from the wet powders coming from filtering or centrifugation.

The central body is made of a double cone, characterized by soft lines. During the system rotation, this structure helps the continuous revolution of the mass and allows a homogenous and delicate mixing.

Within the drying chamber there are two lump-breaker units with variable speed. During chamber rotation, the lump-breaker group goes alternatively in and out of the product, cleaning itself when not in contact. The lump-breaker groups break at a first stage the possible wet blocks inside the mass and during the drying phase they mill and powder the product.
For bulk products, this means an end product that is ready for bagging, while for the other products, a checked particle size distribution is achieved (very limited use of the mill).
The mechanical action of the chamber and the lump-breakers allow the surface of the product exposed to evaporation to be increased and therefore the vacuum drying is carried out in a very short time and with a temperature much lower than in any other dryer. This is an advantage for the purity of the most delicate thermo sensitive products, as it avoids their degradation and respects their chemical structure.

Furthermore the moisture extraction is certainly higher, because the mass core is constantly penetrated by the lump-breaking knives that increase the surface exposed to evaporation.

Specific solutions have been developed for automatic loading and unloading and also in order to wash and inspect the plant before changing the type of batch.
